This ink has been made by hand in our Dundee studio in Scotland and is designed for pointed pen or brush calligraphy. Each ink colour comes in a 0.53 fl oz / 15 ml glass jar. Our inks are water based and are ready to use. They work perfectly with our Rhodia paper practice pads. If your ink seems too thin for your nib, then you can let it sit out for a couple of hours with the lid off to allow some of the water to evaporate. Overtime, your ink will thicken, but all you need to do is add a couple of drops of water to bring it back to the desired consistency.
Always stir your ink before use (do not shake) and wipe round the edges of the jar when you are finished to stop the ink drying and the lid sticking. Metallic inks need to be stirred regularly during use to distribute the pigment.

Delivery
All of our products are dispatched from our Scottish studio within 1-2 working days. Wax seal orders are shipped within 4-5 working days.
UK parcels are sent via Royal Mail 24 (express) or 48 (standard) and International parcels are sent via Royal Mail Tracked (5-10 working days). International deliveries may take longer depending on the customs process in your country.
Returns
If your package hasn't been delivered, arrives with missing items or has been damaged during delivery, please email hello@thecalligraphybox.com. If you would like to return an item then please also get in touch via email within 14 days of receiving your order. Items can be returned to us for a full refund if they are unused and in good condition.
